Peperomia Combo – Compact Modern Indoor Greens

Scientific Name: Peperomia tetraphylla ‘Hope’, Peperomia perciliata ‘Zorro’, Peperomia obtusifolia (Green)
Family: Piperaceae
Genus: Peperomia
Species: Multiple (as above)
Cultivar: Hope, Zorro, Baby Rubber Plant (Green)
Common Names / Known As: Peperomia Hope, Peperomia Zorro, Baby Rubber Plant, Radiator Plant, Indoor Peperomia Trio

Overview: This Peperomia Combo brings together three of the most loved compact indoor plants—perfect for anyone wanting lush greenery without needing too much space. Peperomia Hope offers soft, round trailing leaves, Zorro brings small, textured foliage in deep green tones, and Baby Rubber Green adds bold, glossy leaves for a clean modern look. Native to tropical Central & South America, these hardy plants thrive indoors and are ideal for South African homes, apartments, and offices.

Quirky Fact / Common Use: Peperomias store water in their leaves, making them naturally drought-tolerant—basically “succulent-like” without looking like succulents.

Ideal For:
• Perfect for apartments, home offices, desks, shelves, bedside tables, and kitchens
• Great for beginners, busy plant parents, or anyone wanting low-maintenance plants
• A must-have for modern décor, adding texture, gloss, and trailing interest to plant shelves
• Their compact growth (15–30 cm) makes them ideal for small spaces, tabletops, and workspaces, with Hope often trailing gently over edges

(Received plants may differ slightly from images displayed. Unless otherwise specified, all Plants come in black nursery pots)

🌱 Tips: Peperomias are easy-going but dislike overwatering—one of the most common mistakes. If leaves turn mushy or stems collapse, the plant is staying too wet; let the soil dry out more between waterings. Brown edges or droopy leaves often mean too little water or very dry indoor air. Remove any damaged leaves to encourage new growth, and avoid compacted soil that stays soggy.

🌤️ Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. They tolerate medium light well but avoid harsh sun which can scorch the leaves. Perfect for shelves near windows.

💧 Watering: Water when the top 3–4 cm of soil feels dry. They prefer light, infrequent watering—similar to succulents. Ensure pots drain well.

🌡️ Temperature: Best between 18°C – 28°C, perfectly suited for South African homes. Keep away from heaters, cold drafts, and harsh winter windowsills.

🍃 Feeding: Use Slow Release Fertilizer or apply a balanced, diluted Liquid Fertilizer (e.g., 5:1:4). Feed lightly in spring and summer, and reduce feeding during autumn and winter.

🐾 Pet Friendly? ✅ YES – Non-toxic to cats, dogs, and children. Safe for homes with pets.

What would you like to see:

To ensure fresh and healthy plants we follow a strict weekly shipping schedule:

Mondays: We prepare plants for shipping! This means wrapping the soil, adding plant sleeves, and one last pre-travel watering.
Tuesdays: We wake up bright and early to get all plants carefully packaged for shipping in the morning, in the afternoon we hand over plants with the longest travel ahead of them to our courier partners (this means Eastern, Western and Northern Cape)
Wednesdays: If there are any plants that did not fit in the Tuesday truck, they travel in the second batch on a Wednesday.
Thursdays and Fridays: No plants are shipped, we carefully monitor all the travelling plant babies to ensure they arrive safely at their new homes !

Why do we do this?

Our shipping schedule works this way to ensure that your plants are less likely to spend a weekend in the courier depot ! Our shipping schedule is designed this way to ensure that your plants are fresh and healthy, for this same reason we do not like keeping stock for extended periods of time which means that stock received on Thursdays and Fridays will only be shipped the following week.
