Bug-Busting Botanical Shield – BioGrow Bioneem Oil

Active Ingredients: Azadirachtin (neem extract)

Overview: Biogrow Bioneem 250ml is a certified organic insecticide derived from neem seed kernels, designed to outsmart pests rather than just knock them down. Working as a repellent, anti-feedant, and growth regulator, it disrupts the life cycle of troublesome insects like whiteflies, aphids, thrips, leafminers, and fruit flies on vegetables, ornamentals, and fruit trees. Unlike harsh chemicals, Bioneem works in harmony with nature, offering long-term control while being biodegradable and eco-friendly — a smarter way to keep your plants healthy and thriving.

Quirky Fact / Common Use: Neem has been nicknamed the “village pharmacy” in India for centuries — and in the garden, it’s just as legendary, keeping pests guessing while leaving your greens guilt-free and growing strong! 🌱

Ideal For:

  • Home gardens, greenhouses, or small farms needing long-term pest suppression.

  • Organic gardeners seeking a preventative, environmentally safe solution.

  • Protecting food crops, ornamentals, and indoor plants without harming beneficial insects.

Available in: 250 ml, 500 ml and 5 Lt Bottles (Contact us for Larger quantities)

Dosage and Usage: Dilute 5–10 ml per 1 litre of water for soft-bodied pests (e.g., aphids, whiteflies, thrips); use 10–20 ml per 1 litre for tougher pests (e.g., scale, mealybugs, leafminers). Mix thoroughly in a spray bottle or garden sprayer for even coverage.

Application: Spray generously on leaf tops and undersides, as well as stems, ensuring thorough contact with pests. Apply during early morning or late afternoon (dawn or dusk) to minimise UV breakdown and reduce the risk of leaf burn.

How Often or When to Use: Apply every 7 days during heavy infestations or every 14 days for preventative maintenance. Always test on a small section of the plant first, particularly on delicate species like ferns or poinsettias, to ensure tolerance.

Pro Tip – Combining with Pyrol: For best results, use Pyrol for quick knockdown of active infestations, then follow up with Bioneem to disrupt pest reproduction and prevent reinfestation. This combo gives you both immediate and long-term protection, while staying organic and eco-friendly.

Pet Friendly? ✅ Safe for pets and humans when used as directed. Avoid spraying near food or water bowls and always store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.

Care: Rinse spray equipment after use to prevent clogging. Avoid overuse to protect beneficial insects, and reapply after heavy rain or overhead watering for continuous effectiveness.

What would you like to see:

To ensure fresh and healthy plants we follow a strict weekly shipping schedule:

Mondays: We prepare plants for shipping! This means wrapping the soil, adding plant sleeves, and one last pre-travel watering.
Tuesdays: We wake up bright and early to get all plants carefully packaged for shipping in the morning, in the afternoon we hand over plants with the longest travel ahead of them to our courier partners (this means Eastern, Western and Northern Cape)
Wednesdays: If there are any plants that did not fit in the Tuesday truck, they travel in the second batch on a Wednesday.
Thursdays and Fridays: No plants are shipped, we carefully monitor all the travelling plant babies to ensure they arrive safely at their new homes !

Why do we do this?

Our shipping schedule works this way to ensure that your plants are less likely to spend a weekend in the courier depot ! Our shipping schedule is designed this way to ensure that your plants are fresh and healthy, for this same reason we do not like keeping stock for extended periods of time which means that stock received on Thursdays and Fridays will only be shipped the following week.
